Summer Credit Recovery
HHS Summer Credit Recovery
Hackettstown High School will be running a Summer Recovery Program for students who struggled to meet the minimum requirements for credit in Math and English. Participation in the program will allow students to recover credit prior to the 25-26 school year.
Dates: June 30th - July 30th, every Monday through Thursday. There is no class on Fridays. There is a total of 20 in-session days
Registration: Click To Sign Up!
Schedule:
Delivery of Instruction: All instruction will be in person.
Grading Requirement: To pass credit recovery, students will need to meet three expectations successfully:
- Attend all classes in person
- Complete all assigned work
- Pass the mid and end-of-course exams with a minimum grade of 65%
Cost: The summer credit recovery program is free for students and families. If a student is assigned but chooses not to participate, they will need to find another way to demonstrate successful completion of the course. If an alternative program outside of this one is selected, any associated fees will be the responsibility of the student and/or their parent. Furthermore, it is strongly recommended that the student’s school counselor be informed about the chosen program to ensure HHS will accept the transcript or credit from it. Not all outside programs are accepted, so it is advisable to obtain approval before enrolling in any program. If the student and their family decide against any recovery program during the summer, the student will be required to repeat the course. The student’s counselor will schedule the course for the following year.
What happens if a student fails another course outside of English or Math? HHS provides free services only for English and Math. If a student wants to explore other options for failed courses, they need to meet with their guidance counselor.
