Competing
Tiger Robotics Team 6016 competes in the senior division of the FIRST Robotics organization. FIRST (For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science & Technology) is a "sport for the mind". Although teams compete against each other, they also collaborate through "Coopertition" and "Gracious Professionalism". When students help students and teams help teams, everyone wins! With $80 million in college scholarships provided by over 200 providers, FIRST Robotics has been the launching pad for many of its members to seek careers in engineering and computer science.

Preparation
Tiger Robotics meets occasionally during the fall preseason and then it's "all-in" during the competition season, which runs January - April. Once the season challenge is revealed in early January, the team will work in earnest to design, build, and program a robot in preparation for two weekend district competitions in March with an eye on advancing to the FIRST Mid-Atlantic Region Championships at Lehigh and the FIRST Championships, Houston in April.                            Celebrating
