Model UN
What is Model UN?
Model UN is an academic simulation of the United Nations where students role-play as diplomats representing different countries and work to resolve global issues. Participants research assigned countries, debate, negotiate, and draft solutions to address global challenges, such as peace and security, human rights, economic development, and environmental issues.
How often does the club meet?
Model UN typically meets twice a month. The first meeting is a workshop where students can research their country's views and interests on the month's topic. The second meeting is the simulation where each student presents their country's position and work together to develop a resolution.
How can I join?
To join, email Mrs. Carpenter ([email protected]) to be added to the club's Google Classroom.
