Military, Technical Schools, and Other Options
Not everyone goes to college, at least not right away. Whether you're planning to go into the military or join the workforce, there's help here for you, too!
Military -
- Not sure what you’d like to be when you grow up? Unsure of your plans after high school? Possibly considering military service? The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is being offered at HHS to 10th through 12th grade students on Monday, January 8, 2024 in the library from 7:50 am until lunch. This test examines personal interests and skills to predict success in a wide variety of jobs. Whether you’re interested in the military or not, this test will be beneficial to you. There is no commitment to the Armed Services. Sign-up by completing this Google Form below by December 21st.
- The Armed Services Vocational Assessment Battery (ASVAB) is given at HHS twice a year (please sign up ahead in the Guidance Office). The ASVAB is a timed multi-aptitude test, which is given at over 14,000 schools and Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) nationwide and is developed and maintained by the Department of Defense. A student does not have to make a commitment to the military to take this assessment or to benefit from career information that it supplies.
