As you may have heard, there are many things to take care of before you are eligible to try out. All information for tryouts including all paperwork that you will need to hand in in order to tryout can be found at Physical Examinations/Arbiter Registration (Family ID) NEW - Athletics - Hackettstown High School The first & easiest thing to do is register on Arbiter Sports (formerly known as Family ID) at Fall 2024 | ArbiterSports
**Free Physicals: Saturday, 6/15/24 8:30AM -12:00PM. This is an easy & great way to get ready for 2024-25 for any sport that you play and are highly recommended as this ensures their physical is valid for the entire following school year. The schedule can be found below. This will be the only opportunity for a free physical for the 24-25 school year. In order for your physical to run smoothly, please adhere to the following: Please come at your scheduled time, if you arrive early, you will be asked to come back at the time you were scheduled. ***Please bring a copy of the physical form 170038-975159cb-a1fb-4758-b0b5-18aed78ec97a.pdf (edl.io) with you on the morning of the physical, and please make sure that all the portions that are to be completed by the parent/ guardian are complete.*** If you wear glasses, please bring them with you for the eye exam portion of the physical. Physicals not completed at HHS must be submitted to the school before July 29, 2024. ***Please do not email forms*** All packets and forms should be printed out and handed in to the Athletics Office during school hours or can be dropped off at the Main Office of the high school (or mailed) addressed to: Shea Hannigan, Hackettstown High School, 599 Warren St., Hackettstown, NJ 07840. 2024 Try-Out Information
Try-Outs Begin: Monday, August 19th
Team Announced on or before Friday 8/23/24.
Returners - Monday, August 19th from 8am - 11am.
Please arrive 15 minutes early. All players should wear sneakers, athletic clothes, knee pads and bring a water bottle. Jewelry should NOT be worn. All players must be dressed & ready to play with the gym set up by 7:45 am!
Freshmen & New Players - Monday, August 19th and Tuesday, August 20th from 9:30am -11:15am. Tryouts/practices times will be from 8:00am to 11:00am starting Wednesday, August 21st. The team will be announced on or by Friday August 23. Please arrive 15 minutes early. All players should wear sneakers, athletic clothes, knee pads and bring a water bottle. Jewelry should not be worn. Players who make the team will practice six days a week through the fall. Our JV and Freshman seasons usually end in late October. The varsity season ends in November.
